Too many years passed under his feet before he would make the final effort to give to the world a story that would create a new and exciting hero. While working seven days a week, as the owner of a small construction company in Northern California, he would make the time during each day, and into the night, to work on his passion – writing.
On May 7th, 1959 in Portland, Oregon, L. Sudbury was born to American artist and stage performer Montyne and beautiful model and performer Madeline Hosford. Sudbury as a child aspired to be like his father. During school he performed a hand-balancing act and while attending Universities, studied acting and architecture, but soon realized his talent lay in telling a good story. While attending the University of Nevada Reno in 1980, for a degree in architecture, a life changing event occurred. One of his teachers said, during a calligraphy session, that he should look into creative writing. A short time after, while looking out a third story window late one night on the UNR campus, the young author decided to return to his family’s home in Las Vegas. This took place following a fire at the MGM Grand Hotel, which killed 84 people and subsequently destroyed his father’s murals that once decorated the massive casino ceiling.
